History of specialty

      On Specialty “Plant protection” are prepared specialists for sphere of plant protection, quarantine and ecology. The specialty “Plant protection” was opened in 1932 year at Talgar agricultural school. More than 1250 specialists were issued

.

The main subjects:

• General and agricultural entomology.
• General and agricultural phytopathology.
• Environmental expertise of agricultural production and objects.
• Integrated protection of plant.
• Quarantine of plant.
• Forecast and signaling the appearance of pests, diseases and weeds.
• Agro ecology.
• Environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources.

Future profession:

• -Agronomist – plant pathologist;
• -Agronomist - entomologist;
• -Agronomist – herbologist.

Knomledge:

• -To Compile the program of the integrated protection against pest, weeds and diseases of the main agricultural crops;
• -To produce calculations needs in chemical and biological facilities of plant protection;
• -To prepare working solutions of pesticides and poisoned baits;
• -To identify the biological and economic efficiency of the chemical and biological facilities of plant protection;
• -To ensure the fulfillment of the requirements of environmental protection;
• - To identify the quarantine objects according their external characteristics.

«Agronomist of plant protection» - it is

• a specialist of technology of growing of agricultural crops and forecast of crop;
• a specialist of analysis and research of technology of agricultural crops’ growing;
• a specialist using the integrated system of plant protection against pests and disease.

 At the «РМЦФД и П»  SSI  in ACC MAC RK   graduates of giving specialty holds the following positions:

• -agronomist – phytopathologist;
• -agronomist - entomologist;
• -agronomist - herbologist.

Job training

Students are being provided with job training at all branches of the Agricultural complex:

• SU «РМЦФД и П»  КГИ  in ACC of MAC of RK   Ilyisky affiliate;
• SU «РМЦФД и П»  КГИ  in ACC of MAC of RK  Talgar affiliate;
• SU «РМЦФД и П»  КГИ  in ACC of MAC of RK  Enbekshi Kazakh affiliate
• SU  Republican introduction and quarantine nursery of fruit berries and ornamental crops
• Kaz SRI of horticulture and viticulture, and at the other agricultural enterprises of the Almaty region, will provide them with a place of practice and then further employment.
