From the history of college
Talgar College of Agrobusiness and Management, named after M. Beysebaev was established in October 1918 in Verniy on the basis of the lower school of gardening, as the average Semirechenskaya school training of agronomists.
The first set of students was 29, and first edition was in 1923 in the number 9. The technical school has repeatedly changed its name and subordination. Almaty Polytechnical school was transfereed to Talgar in 1930,and became known as Talgar Agricultural school. It was renamed as Talgar Agricultural College in 1995.
According the Government’s Resolution of № 1485 from 3rd November 1997, Talgar College of Management and Agrobusiness was renamed to Masymhan Beysebaev.
History of college is rich and interesting. There are pages of history of the Great Patriotic War in the history of college. It is enough to remember that in the severe 1942 in the walls of college was founded the 1073 Talgar Regiment 8th Guards of Panfilov’s division. In 1942, the regiment under the command of B. Momyshuly on 31st km under the Moscow, defeated the troops of the German occupiers, that was the first crushing rebuff. B. Momyshuly at the end of the war had been commanded by the Guards division. Alumni and director of College A.A Nusupbekov was fighting in this division.
More than 150 students of college went to war in those hard years, 23 people from among the faculty and staff. They were fighting bravely in the fields of Second World War and made a valiant contribution to the history of the college.
The college has prepared and issued more than 28,000 specialists for different branches of agriculture since the day of foundation.
